Giving it 4 stars bc the food was pretty good for brewery food and the ambiance (outside seating) was spectacular. My friends and I were here on a Friday night and thank goodness my friends got there earlier around 5pm to save a seat outdoor bc by the time it was 6pm, there were no outdoor seatings. I was pretty surprised how moist the fish was from the fish & chip dish. The batter was light and not too oily. I really enjoyed the fries; it had that light crispy coating while fluffy potato on the inside. The flat pizza was good but not a wow factor. The beers were solid. Not sure if it was bc it was rly busy, but the service wasn't as attentive. In fact, we got all of our food except nachos. We waited probably around 45min, basically by the time we were done with our other food and drinks. We had to ask different servers bc each server we talked to took a long time to get back to us about the nachos lol. We still waiting around 15min even after the nachos. At this point, it would honestly make us feel better if the servers had apologized that the order got missed instead of making it seem like the orders just got backed up. As a customer, it doesn't feel nice to have waited ~45min for the food and have them say it was backed ordered..like it was just nachos.. And of course right when we asked the server to take off the nachos off of our check, the nachos came Anywho, we ended up taking it off of the check. But the server looked upset that we were taking it off the menu..like why?? We should be the one that's upset..? Service would be my main reason for taking off a star. Other than that, still a great place to visit if you're in the area or if you've never visited!

This patio is my favorite! It's a stunning vista. Although this place may get quite busy, on a Sunday afternoon we went by and had no trouble getting a table. The service was courteous, quick, and efficient. I also appreciated that you don't have to wait for someone to bring your check or take your order. Here, service is provided quickly. Employees are constantly sweeping up empty dishes and drinks as they go about their duties. I really enjoy the kids menu and that they also provide a little toy. I believe it was called wiki stix. Super cute and a nice effort to keep kids entertained! We got my daughter the kids chicken quesadilla and she really enjoyed. Great price for a lot of food, the plate also comes with French fries and 2 slices of watermelon and a kids drink. We got her a lemonade. 10/10 for the kids selection.

I had an amazing experience at Ballast Point in Long Beach! We sat on the rooftop, and it was a beautiful day with a stunning view of the ocean. The atmosphere was perfect for a relaxed weekend hangout. The ordering system is incredibly convenient--you can do everything from your phone while seated, and the service was impressively quick. The drinks were fantastic, and the food was absolutely delicious. I particularly loved the cauliflower tacos; they were perfect. The chicken sandwich and fries were also great. Overall, Ballast Point is a must-try when you're in Long Beach. If you're looking for a great spot to relax and enjoy good food and drinks, this place should be at the top of your list!

I love the view at Ballast Point. I've been here a few times now and hands down the best thing about it is the view. There's a Ballast Point in Downtown Disney but it's overpriced and just doesn't hit the same. This location has plenty of parking and is right next to a beautiful water view. You can sit indoor or outdoor. I came here with my family and we sat indoors. There was a barcode to scan and order your food. Everything came out quickly, but I recommend turning in your orders as you go for quicker service. For example if you choose an appetizer and drink, submit the order, then keep looking for your entree, then submit. By submitting in increments your food will come out spaced out and quicker. After we ate inside we paid and took our drinks upstairs. The view is gorgeous. It was a hotter day but the breeze was cooling enough to lounge about. Food is great, I love their nachos and their birria tacos. Drink wise there's mostly beer, I'm not too into beer so I ordered a mojito and tried their spiked horchata. Wish they had some more drink options for non beer drinkers.

Good vibes, good views, good food and good drinks. Met up with some friends for lunch and it was relatively quiet. Service was prompt (probably because you order everything through a QR code). Ordered the fish and chips which were very good. The only thing here is that it is essentially self-serve so there is minimal contact with the wait staff. Great idea to let you sit wherever you can find a seat but could be extremely annoying when some large parties order a drink and sit there for several hours. Understand their reasoning behind it since the views are spectacular but definitely not great when it gets extremely busy.

GREAT place for sunset, especially if you're not looking to spend a lot for a great view (and don't want such an uppity feel sometimes). It's open seating and a huge location, so find a table and sit down. You order via QR code that's sponsored through Toast and hosts a 5% surcharge; makes it convenient but looks like they are still figuring out some kinks with who to bring food/drinks out too. Service is a bit slow on food/drinks Friday night and they delivered the food to the wrong table a few times from what we saw. What we got: Pineapple IPA, Nitro Sculpin IPA, Braised Beef Torta, Fish Tacos - Torta was the best, the pineapple IPA was tolerable, the fish tacos lacked flavor, and the Nitro IPA was not very drinkable (perhaps too flat?) - Pay extra for garlic Parmesan fries (+$2). Super good! If it wasn't for the view/location, not sure I'd come back. But vibes are amazing and I know a lot of their more popular beers (Grapefruit IPA, Hazy IPA) are very good- so maybe we ventured to try different beers at a cost. Total for what we got + tip was low $60s, making it very affordable for a night out. Definitely, definitely come here during sunset.
